Our Operating Model

The New Investment Fund Managers Launchpad (NIFML) proudly introduces the Fund Design and Limited Partner Attraction Program (FDLPAP) as a comprehensive solution to support new managers in creating their investment funds and securing commitments from limited partners. This program, while providing essential financial coverage during their journey towards the first close of the fund, is structured to facilitate the success of aspiring fund managers through three key phases:

(1) Fund Design and Strategy Development: In the initial phase, new managers participate in workshops and receive expert guidance to design their investment strategy, aligning it with their unique vision and market opportunities. Participants will gain insights on risk management, portfolio diversification, fee structures, and regulatory compliance. Mentorship from seasoned fund managers and access to a network of industry professionals will further enable the creation of a robust and competitive fund strategy.

(2) Limited Partner Attraction and Networking: The second phase focuses on developing the skills and tools needed to effectively communicate the fund's value proposition to potential limited partners. Managers will learn best practices for crafting compelling pitch decks, presenting their investment thesis, and conducting successful investor meetings. Networking events, conferences, and access to a proprietary database of limited partner contacts will help facilitate introductions and foster relationships with prospective investors.

(3) Financial Support and First Close Milestone: During the journey towards the first close of the fund, NIFML will provide financial support to cover the new managers' operational costs, enabling them to focus on the development and growth of their funds. This support includes office space, technology resources, and access to industry-leading research platforms. The program also provides performance-based incentives, further aligning the interests of the managers and the program to ensure a successful first close.

By offering a comprehensive support system through the Fund Design and Limited Partner Attraction Program, NIFML empowers new investment fund managers to confidently navigate the complex process of launching their funds and securing the commitment of limited partners, setting the stage for long-term success and impact in the investment management industry.
